Divergent Kin

The term Divergent Kin is given to Bokaroki that, by Latter Kin standards, have developed distinct societies, cultures and/or entire civilizations which set them apart from other Bokaroki throughout Auzu. There is a clear bias inherent to this categorization, and a complex relationship to those who choose to use it, whether it be as a badge of honor or an outright rejection of Latter Kin judgement. Which species are included in this collection is a topic of constant debate, as Auzu has proven time and again that rapid evolution and adaptation comes easily in the wilds.

Though as a whole not as industrially advanced as Latter Kin, the assorted Divergent species each maintain their own varied cultures within each group. The foremost of these would be the ukomabi who govern the entirety of the Isun continent and are primarily found only there. This is in stark contrast to many other Divergent species which are often scattered far and wide across the eight continents, living in self-sustaining and independent clusters. Kobolds in particular are renowned for their uncanny ability to thrive in small, dense communities amid even the harshest environments, from frozen tundras to arid wastelands.

As a whole, most Divergent Kin will tolerate friendly relations with Latter Kin so long as their autonomy is respected. There are outliers, however, such as the contentious ult-ult clans which generally will not. With such a staggering amount of diversity among many advanced species, it can be difficult for any one group to maintain a clear understanding of the norms of others they interact with, and communication and collaboration can often fall by the wayside in such endeavors.
